2018 Year 7
Year 7 2018 are to be congratulated on the way they have settled into high school. Most students have been able to negotiate their way around the College confidently and have been attentive and polite. On their first day students were welcomed by Ms Kenney and Mrs Smith, then attended Pastoral Care with their teachers where they received diaries and timetables. Procedures and routines were discussed and students got to
know each other further by playing People Bingo.
Throughout the day Year 7 received information regarding Sport, Counselling, Library services, and House details. Also, they were assisted with setting up their laptops. Possibly the highlight of the day was participation in Campus
Quest where students had to make their way to different spots around the College where they received a stamp from a staff member. The aim was to complete the Quest in the fastest time. At the completion of this session all
students received an ice block.
At the beginning of Day 2 students met in their Houses where they were introduced to their House Captains and received their badges. Also, they received information regarding the College Band.
On Thursday during Pastoral Care a College Assembly was held and the St Patrick's community displayed a rousing welcome as Year 7 entered Rice Hall. Following this, students settled into their timetabled lessons.
Students are encouraged to be involved in the variety of extra-curricular activities the College has to offer. Again, the St Patrick's College community warmly welcomes Year 7 2018 and wishes all students a successful and
happy year in all areas of their involvement at the College.
