As I mentioned last week St Patrick’s College’s National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy results are outstanding. In every measure of literacy and numeracy the College scored significantly above the state and national averages. We were one of the highest performing Catholic Systemic School in New South Wales both in Year 7 and particularly so in Year 9. Indeed, in Year 9 Literacy, we were the highest performing Catholic Systemic school and the second highest performing school in Year 9 Numeracy.
This is an exceptional achievement and a tribute to the skill and dedication of our wonderful teaching staff. It is also a vote of confidence in our teaching and learning culture at the College. Last week I presented in graphical form our results compared to state results. In the table below are our results compared to the national figures.
