2009 School Review and Improvement Parent Survey

Highly effective schools have a strong sense of purpose where students and their learning are the primary focus. Each year we target areas to concentrate our energies to improve certain aspects of College Life. This year we have continued to work on strengthening our links with the local parishes and providing opportunities for prayerful liturgies and outreach activities for students. We have also worked on improving the quality of our assessment program. The Commonwealth Government’s Fund for Computers in Secondary Schools has been an  important part of our agenda this year.

Other questions focus on the College newsletter, academic reports, staff professionalism, College expectations for students, ipod, uniform and discipline policies and the experience of your children with homework, bullying and the College Diary.

We need to gauge our success in these areas and I invite parents to be part of the validation process. We have constructed a 30 item questionnaire that surveys your opinion about a range of matters on life at St Patrick’s College. Your response will assist us with our planning for future years. Last year only a handful of parents completed the survey and it was difficult to draw conclusions from such a response. The survey only takes five minutes to complete and there is an optional section if you wish to comment in more detail.
