The Library provides curriculum based resources, literature and recreational materials in a variety of formats that support the changing needs of the St Patrick's College community. Non-fiction and reference materials are provided in both print and electronic formats. The fiction collection seeks to promote and encourage reading with an emphasis on Australian adolescent fiction.
The main reading area of the Library is available for class bookings or for students undertaking individual research and is used by senior students during study periods. A reference area has seating for 10 students. Two study rooms are also available for students. At lunchtimes the reading area is available to all students for study, research and recreational activities such as reading and chess.
The Library Technology Centre has 30 computers for class use or individual student use before school, at lunchtimes and after school. There are 3 computers available in the main Library area for student use during lessons. A printer and scanner are available for use with the networked computers. There is a wide range of electronic and multimedia resources available.
