The College Crest and Motto adopted in 1987 resulted from consultations with staff and students of the College. A Year 10 student, Janet McCauley, conceived the original design and the College Captain, Dean Groundwater, suggested the motto, “Seek Wisdom in Christ”.
The Crest has a blue background with a white Cross and symbols outlined in maroon. The College name and Motto are in maroon.
The inspiration for the design of the Crest came from symbols of significance to the Religious Orders associated with the College. These are the Celtic Cross for the Christian Brothers and the Cross with surrounding rays from the ring of the Presentation Sisters. As the Cross is the outstanding Christian symbol, it was seen to be important that it form the basis of the College Crest.
